Jasper County Fair kicks off tonight
The 149th edition of the Jasper County Fair kicks off tonight with dogs, cats and music. The fair offers a wide variety of activities for all ages, with some new components this year.
The 4-H Dog Show and the Cat Show will be held this evening at 5 p.m., dogs in the pavilion and cats in the small animal barn. Check-in begins at 4:30 p.m. The open class cat show will follow the 4-H Cat Show. Then, get ready to rock with the Likely Suspects at 8 p.m.
On Saturday, the cattle and hogs begin arriving, and the horse halter and performance classes begin showing at 10 a.m. in the west arena, and a tractor pull begins at 10 a.m. on the west track.
Open class entries will be accepted from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. this evening and on Saturday until noon
