A rural Colfax man was killed Monday evening after a tractor with an attached mower rolled over on top of him.
Officials with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office said 53-year-old David Laverne Cook was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, where Cook lived at 3611 W. 112th St. N., north of Colfax.
Deputies said a family member reported the accident after going to tell Cook supper was ready and finding him pinned under the tractor.
