Gregg Young Automotive, Chevrolet to raise funds for YMCA youth sports

Gregg Young Chevrolet is partnering with Newton YMCA this weekend to raise money for youth sports in Jasper County.

Through the Chevy Youth Sports program, Gregg Young and Chevrolet will donate money to Newton YMCA youth soccer for every person who comes for a test drive on Saturday morning. Anyone with a valid driver’s license can participate at the Newton YMCA between 9 and 11:30 a.m. Test drive a brand new Chevy sedan, truck or SUV and the Newton YMCA will receive $25 per driver.

“It’s a spectacular deal and it helps fund a great program,” YMCA Youth Sports Director Scott Taylor said, “It will allow us to have updated equipment and keep the YMCA youth soccer program affordable for Jasper County families.”

This monetary contribution will assist Newton YMCA with registration fees, equipment costs, facility maintenance and other administrative fees.

“Being involved with sports helps kids develop skills like leadership, cooperation, and sportsmanship while bringing families and communities together to show their support. Gregg Young Chevrolet and Chevy Youth Sports are proud to help Newton YMCA bring so many smiles to kids and families in Newton,” Nick Williams, general manager for Gregg Young Chevrolet, said. “Chevrolet believes in the power of play as a way for young people to build the skills needed to be successful in the future.”

In 2019, more than 500 Chevrolet dealerships will participate in the program nationwide. For more information about Chevrolet Youth Sports, visit www.chevrolet.com/youthsports.com.
