Lowell Robert-Jean Stubbe

Lowell Robert-Jean Stubbe, 53, of Des Moines, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019, of an apparent heart attack. A private family burial will be held at a later date. The Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the cremation.

Lowell graduated from Newton HighSchool in the Class of 1984.

Lowell is survived by his sisters, Kelly (Paul) Phinney of Katy, Texas, Sarah Stubbe of Lansing and Stephanie (Rich) Machin of Newton; niece, Jessica (Clinton) Capshaw and their children, Daniel, Nicholas and Emma of Katy, Texas; nephew, Dalton (Kodi) Machin of Sully; and several cousins and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

In lieu of flowers or memorials, Lowell’s family requests prayers of compassion and understanding for those suffering from mental illness and addiction.
