Fourth of July thank you

Our hats are off to everyone who organized and volunteered to make the Fourth of July parade so wonderful. We know it took many people to put this on and we say thank you to each one of you.

A special thanks to the gentleman who walked to the veterans float with my husband who is 90 years young. I let Al out of the car as close as I could get with all the barricades in place. Thanks sir, very much.

Another thank you to the gentleman who was there with his four wheeler and brought our two veterans from the float to our chairs a couple blocks south. This kind volunteer was also at the Legion handing out plates and eating utensils. You are SO appreciated.

We thank all organizations for the wonderful free meal at the Legion for all the veterans and their families immediately after the parade.

To all the volunteers who made the whole day wonderful, we give a big, thank you.

Can we suggest next year you give veterans riding in the parade a large pass to get in the barricades close to the veterans floats? Some have a hard time walking any distance.

Again, our hats are off to all of your wonderful people for making this year’s Fourth of July a very great day.

Sincerely,

Al and Judy Jones
