Meyer leads Baxter girls to fifth at ISC golf meet

CONRAD — Sadie Meyer finished two strokes shy of earning her second straight all-conference honor, and Baxter’s girls’ golf team placed fifth in the Iowa Star Conference golf tournament at Oakwood Golf Course on May 6.

Meyer shot a 113 and finished 13th overall. The top 10 golfers earned all-conference honors. The final all-conference position had a score of 111.

Baxter shot a 485 overall. Tripoli had the top two golfers and finished first with a 427. Clarksville was second with a 445 followed by Don Bosco (459) and Dunkerton (471), GMG shot a 537 and three other scores had individual golfers but not enough for a team score.

For the Bolts, Abbey Shepley was 19th overall with a 119.

Piper Larson (125) and Sophie Meyer (128) were the other two counting scores. Bekka Watt (141) had a non-counting score.
