YMCA, a place of welcoming

I was lucky enough to find and talk with photographer Christopher Braunschweig at the Easter Egg Hunt at the Newton YMCA. My request to him on that beautiful morning was to please capture some images of how well the Newton YMCA grounds and landscaping have improved.

Gratitude for such activities is often not shown enough or regrettably even at all when such changes occur to curb appeal. I would like to be among the first to point out how much cleaner, more visible the parking lots and welcoming grounds are at the Newton YMCA. Gone are the old trees of yesteryear, many of which were dying off anyway. Gone are the days of incomplete, muddy lawns between driveways and parking lots making children’s shoes dirty just before climbing into vehicles.

The Newton YMCA has and always will continue to be a place of community and welcoming. Enhancing the curb appeal only adds the the welcoming environment and this springtime was an excellent time for that enhancement. Special thanks to the YMCA leadership team and the YMCA board of directors for allowing the landscaping enhancement project. I, for one, appreciate the improvements.
