LYNNVILLE — Lynnville-Sully’s Hawk boys played on their home golf course for the first time in the 2019 season on April 2. They hosted a quadrangular nine-hole meet at Diamond Trail Golf Club.
Fellow Jasper County team PCM dominated the field placing golfers in the top three individual places. PCM finished with a 166 to win the team title. Albia was second at 178 and Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont was third with a 203.
Lynnville-Sully had just three golfers in the event so the Hawks did not have team score.
The Mustangs were led by senior Andrew Van Ryswyk with a 38 on the par-36 course as the meet medalist. Gatlin Boell shot a 39 for second and sophomore Andrew Mitchell had a 40. The fourth golfer scoring for the team was sophomore Gabe Lanphier with a 49.
PCM got a 49 from junior Caleb Greer, a 50 from sophomore Brayden Berger and a 51 from sophomore Grant Landgrebe.
