Family-friendly barn dance Saturday

The public is invited to a Newton Barn Dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Sugar Grove Gathering Place, 6602 Ginger Ave. in Newton.

This family friendly event will offer old-time music by Melon Farmer and dance called by Reid Miller. All dances will be taught.

The suggested donation is $5-$10 per dancer with a $20-$30 family maximum. Find more information on the event’s Facebook page.
