Kellogg Garden Club

New officers were installed at the weather-delayed meeting of the Kellogg Garden Club recently. Carolyn Myers was installed as president and Paula Schutter, vice-president. Pat Patty, secretary and Eunice McCarthy, treasurer, were reaffirmed for 2019.

Menu items and decorations were discussed for the 9th annual Spring Tea to be Saturday, April 13 at Cornerstone Church in Newton.

Members of the group continue to provide programs for Willowbrook Adult Day Care.

The club supports the East Jasper County Food Pantry. Members also decorate the 1940s kitchen in the Kellogg Museum for the Down Home Christmas celebration. The group enjoys tours and programs about plants, gardening, flower arranging and horticulture. The hostess for each meeting presents a creation for an outdoor decoration, table setting or centerpiece.

Anyone wishing to find out more about the group can contact Carolyn Myers, at 641-236-9479 or Paula Schutter at 641-990-7231.
