Donna L. Boyd

Donna L. Boyd, 85, of Colfax, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019 in Colfax. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24 at Coburn Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Colfax Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. A general memorial fund has been established and condolences may be left for the family at coburnfuneralhomes.com.

The daughter of Clifford L. and Valerie T. (Roberts) Atchison, Donna was born Aug. 8, 1933, in Arnolds Park. Donna graduated from high school in Arnolds Park and attended Buena Vista University in Storm Lake. On May 5, 1955, she was united in marriage to Richard I. Boyd in Arnolds Park. She moved to Colfax in 1959. Donna was a member of the Colfax United Methodist Church.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Dan (Sharon) Boyd, Teresa (Jerry) Faidley and Becky (Mike) Talsma; six grandchildren, Matthew Boyd, Luke Boyd, Jamie (Nicole) Faidley and their children, Fiona, Wynn and Bode, Jaci (Mike) Schreiber and their daughter, Landry, Jordan (Ashley) Talsma and their children, Brayden and Everly, and Brooke Talsma and her daughter, Amara. She was preceded in death by her parents and lost her husband in 1984.
