Newton Police Department
• Sandra L. Younger, 58, of Kellogg, was charged with fifth-degree theft at 1:39 p.m. Friday. According to Newton police, an officer was sent to the 400 block of East 10th Street North for a theft. The officer spoke with witnesses who said they saw Younger’s vehicle by the residence and Younger sounded like she was lifting something heavy. When they went outside, they noticed a $50 air compressor was missing. Younger received a citation and was released to appear in court.
