F. Jacqueline “Jackie” Walker Longdin, 81, of Newton, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, at the Comfort House in Pella.
Jackie’s memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11 at the Wallace Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton. Pastor Chad Jennings of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Newton will be officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the memorial service with a coffee time at the funeral home. A private family burial will be held at the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.

Those left to cherish Jackie’s memory are her son, John III (Dee) Longdin of Newton; her daughter, Sherry (Mike) McCoy of Ames; four grandchildren, John Longdin IV of Newton, James Longdin of Newton, Michael (Mindy) McCoy of Ames and Krisaneá(Eric) Hineman of Castle Rock, Colo.; and her three great-grandchildren, Ben and Cora McCoy and Ethan Hineman. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, John in 2007.
