If you haven’t yet taken time to visit the holiday lights display at Maytag Park, I would really encourage you to do so. My hat is off to all those who helped organize, financially support and create the different lighted areas at the park. It provides enjoyment for young and old and in between.
I honestly did not know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised at the display, especially since its the first year for the event. Viewing the Maytag Park light display compliments those on the Jasper County Courthouse Lights, with both adding to the Christmas feeling. The lights at Maytag Park will still be available for viewing until Jan. 1, so take a drive or a walk some evening and enjoy. You’ll be glad you did.
