Fundraising event Saturday during WinterFEST

Friends of the family of Braydon Crees will be hosting a fundraising booth during Prairie City’s Winter Market and WinterFEST celebration Saturday at the Family Life Center.

Braydon’s mother, former Prairie City resident Megan (Aalbers) Crees, died unexpectedly May 28, 2017, leaving behind her husband Andy, special needs son Braydon and a new baby boy, Braxton.

As Braydon, now 5, is getting bigger, it is becoming more difficult to transport him to all his appointments and other exciting places a child would like to go. The family is in need of handicap accessible van with a wheelchair ramp and all monies raised Saturday will be directed towards that purchase.

Treats including donuts from Casey’s and Michelle Cabbage Lindell (Sweet to Eat Bakery) are being donated and will be available for a freewill donation, as well as other chocolates.

There will also be a specially made Christmas cake from Sweet to Eat Bakery people can enter to win along with a free hotel stay at the Ramada by the airport. There will be a separate drawing for each prize and winners will be notified after the event.
