Elizabeth Pelock passed away Saturday afternoon, Nov. 10, 2018, at her home on Lake Ponderosa, near Montezuma.

A time of remembrance and celebration of life will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15 at Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton, who has been entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation will be at the funeral home an hour prior to the service and following the service will be a lunch at the Moose Lodge. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16 in the Confidence, Iowa Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Elizabeth’s family.

Elizabeth Ann Pelock, 76, was born Oct. 1, 1942, in Yuba City, Calif., to Ferman Laurel Greene and Alice Mae Greene-Sibert. An avid collector of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, R. Adkinson Fox prints and other antiques. She could be found with her family and dear friend, Mary Horn, at the What Cheer Flea Market. Her hobbies consisted of embroidery, puzzles, bird watching, playing cards and the occasional trip to the casino. Following the plans of her mother, she became a lifetime member of the Women of the Moose, receiving her College of Regents, Academy of Friendship, Star Recorder and Past Deputy Grand for the Iowa\Eastern Nebraska Women of the Moose.

On Nov. 7, 1985, she opened her heart to her devoted spouse, James J. Marconi. Their love united the children of two families: Suzanne Harmony, Pamela Marconi, Jeffrey Pelock, Dolores Marconi, Leila Marconi and Sherrie Pelock. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Sean and Patrick Harmony, Mandalynn Wiese, Jessica and Olivia Pelock, James and Hailey Crabtree; and two great-granddaughters, Adelie P. and Summer H.

Other important people of her life included a sister-in-law, Julie Sibert; numerous people she worked with at Maytag; members of the Moose organization; niece, Karla Sibert, Julian Mendoza and Jordan Bender. Elizabeth’s surviving siblings are Karl Sibert, Howard Greene and Evalee Hundersosse. She is preceded in death by siblings, Adolph Sibert, Betty Lou Pierce Baker and Gerald Greene.
