Elizabeth Sneller

Elizabeth “Liz” Mary (Verhey) Sneller of Millington, Tenn., was born in Oudewater, the Netherlands, July 4, 1941. On Oct. 13, 2018, she died unexpectedly at Methodist Hospital in downtown Memphis, Tenn.

She is survived by her husband, Jerald Lee Sneller of Millington, Tenn.; sons, Russell Jay (Sabrina) Sneller of Bartlett, Tenn., and Terry Lee Sneller of Millington, Tenn.; siblings Mary and Walter Miller of Newton, Mick and Dick Dunsbergen of Cheyenne, Wyo., Gerrit and Linda J. Verhey, Pete Jr. and Carol Verhey, Nellie and Mark Vander Schel all of Pella, Randy and Linda Verhey of Otley, Dennis and Sharon Verhey of Pella. Liz was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherri Kay (Eugene) Parish; and parents, Pieter and Metje (Alblas) Verhey; siblings, Abe (Pam) Verhey, and Nellie and Abraham, that both died in infancy.

Liz was the proud grandmother of Jeremy Russell (Katie) Sneller, David Martin (Jessika) Parish, Joshua Robert (Erin) Sneller, Jackqueline Nichole (Daniel) Avanzi, Andrew Lee Sneller and Amanda, and Cheyenne Kai Sneller; great-grandmother of 18; and had numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service was at Saturday, Oct. 20 ​at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home, 6755 Highway 51 N. in Millington, Tenn. Interment was at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery at the same address.
