DES MOINES — The PCM volleyball team ended a five-match losing streak with a five-set win over Saydel during a Heart of Iowa Conference battle.
The Mustangs rallied from down a set to win the next two and then finished off the Eagles in the final set.
PCM won the match 22-25, 25-13, 25-12, 23-25, 15-6.
Sophomore Celeste Wagaman had nine kills, three aces and was 20-of-21 in serves in the win.
Junior Shelby Voeller had five kills, 16 assists, three digs and four aces for the Mustangs, who improved to 3-12 overall and 1-1 in the HOIC.
Emma Reed had eight kills, while sophomores Jacki Vos and Emma Houser each had four kills. Senior Avery Stock finished with nine digs, senior Allison Wood chipped in five digs and junior Megan Kinnamon collected four digs.
Junior Chloe Inskeep was 19-of-20 in serves with three aces. The Mustangs had 14 aces in the match.
PCM plays North Polk at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 13 in Alleman.
