Newton’s Long places in national QB competition

Newton High junior Kyle Long finished fourth overall in a national quarterback competition — The Duel, in Atlanta, Ga., in July. There were more than 40 incoming high school juniors in the two-day competition. The Duel includes tests in decision making, speed, strength, stamina, and position specific skills.
