Lisa Kay Olson, 51, of Prairie City, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. A memorial service will be Friday, July 13 at 10:30 a.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. Burial will take place at Colfax Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 12 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or the Prairie City Fire Department. The daughter of Richard Glenn and Carolyn Kay (Thompson) Mindham, Lisa was born April 18, 1967, in Ames. She graduated from Lewis Central High School in Council Bluffs in 1985, and then graduated from American School of Beauty. On June 10, 2006, she was united in marriage to Troy Vincent Olson in Des Moines. Lisa enjoyed music, animals but most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Troy; her mother, Carolyn; three children, Steven (Carissa) Lahey, Hannah Fairchild and Cole (Alyssa Pilcher) DeKock; four grandchildren, Malachi, Isaiah, Ellyona and Ezra; a brother, Eric (Melissa) Mindham; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her grandparents; father in 2000; and a granddaughter, Leilani in 2017.
