Codi Holdeman

I am Codi Holdeman, the daughter of Mike and Kristin Holdeman. I graduated from Pella Community High School and will be attending DMACC this fall to major in human services. I was involved in choir, show choir, and FFA at Pella Community. I am a member of the Lucky L’s 4-H club and President of the Jasper County 4-H County Council. I hope to represent Jasper County as the 2018 Fair Queen because I have been dedicated to this county fair for the past 18 years. I feel as though being the fair queen will give me an opportunity to give back to the Jasper County Fair for everything they have done for me. I also would love to be that role model for all of the children of Jasper County. Serving Jasper County as the 2018 Fair Queen would be an honor.

Mariah Wolfe

Hello, my name is Mariah Wolfe and my parents are Lissa and Randy Birkenholtz and Ronald Wolfe. I am a senior at Newton Senior High School. Last year was my second year as a candidate for that of fair queen. Also, I have ran for our county’s poultry queen. Being a part of the fair is one of the greatest opportunities that I’ve experienced and also has been a great learning experience. I have been showing small animals, such as poultry and rabbits for four years. I also show equine and visual arts. I have shown for the Newton FFA and I am also a part of other activities/clubs. Those include band (marching and concert), art club, student council and our bowling team. Its would be an honor to be the 2018 Jasper County Fair Queen. I hope to inspire anyone who has a dream. if they want it, go for it and just try all they can. Try is all they can do. Just as I am doing. Seeing my sister try for this, that’s what inspired me to try for it too. So I wish every candidate luck and hope that we all become friends. After all, all you have to do ... is believe in yourself and TRY!
