The Newton Guild of the Des Moines Metropolitan Opera will meet at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Garden Room of Park Centre.
Michael Egel, DMMO general and artistic director, will preview “Rusalka,” an opera by Antonín Dvořák. First performed in 1901, it has become the most famous Czech opera ever written.
Refreshments will be served before the program. Guests and potential members are invited.
