Ready to Roll

An old Victorian-style home at Second and Main Streets in Prairie City was scheduled to be moved by truck between 9 and 11 p.m. Tuesday. According to city officials, MidAmerican Energy notified those who would be without power during that time period. The home has been an iconic spot in Prairie City over the years, once a boarding house and the former location of the Prairie Rose Tea Room. The new owners are moving the house to a parcel of north of Prairie City and south of Colfax.
