Three things to know from the Jasper County Board of Supervisors meeting

1. The board approved the purchase of a 70-foot steel girder bridge superstructure for $59,240 from Oden Enterprises. The steel superstructure will be used on the bridge reconstruction on West Eighth Street South, southwest of Reasnor by South 112th Avenue West.

2. Carol Wall was approved for hire as a home care aide for the Jasper County Health Department. Her starting pay rate is $15.28 on the non-progressive union scale with a start date of March 1.

3. A public hearing was approved for March 8 on the sale of a piece of land for $1 to Dennis and Melanie Renaud. The county has found it would be in its best interest to sell the land through a quit claim deed as the parcel has no market value, is located in the city limits of Lynnville and is not currently on the tax role.
