Newton Police Department
• Kendra K. Trotter, 51, of Newton, was charged with operating while under the influence at 12:03 a.m. Feb. 1 after she was driving in the 800 block of North Eighth Avenue East when she backed into another vehicle. Trotter went through a field sobriety test and showed multiple signs of impairment. Trotter's blood alcohol content was .234. She was arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail.
