Advantage Credit Union will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship for the 2018-19 school year. The scholarship is available to any high school senior who is a member of Advantage Credit Union in good standing, attending a four year college or university, community college or tech/trade school.
Entrants are required to submit a business style resume’ not to exceed two pages in length, and answer the following essay question:
Credit unions are not-for-profit, financial institutions that utilize the cooperative model. The “people helping people” philosophy is the guiding principle to serve their members’ financial needs. Please explain what a cooperative is and why the “people helping people” philosophy is important. How does your membership in a credit union support your financial future?
Essays should be no more than 500 words.
Entries must be received at 121 W. Third St. N. in Newton, no later than March 30.
