Roberta Hobbs

Roberta “Bobbi” Ann Hobbs, 80, of Kellogg, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22 at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21 at the funeral home. Memorials in Bobbi’s name may be left at the funeral home.

Bobbi, the daughter of Robert and Frances (White) Donahue, was born Dec. 16, 1937, in Newton. She graduated from Newton High School. On Oct. 25, 1980, Bobbi was united in marriage with David Hobbs at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She worked at the Maytag Dairy Farm as the cheese plant supervisor for 26 years, retiring in 2007. Bobbi loved to read and was a great cook. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Bobbi is survived by her husband, David Hobbs of Kellogg; children, William “Billy” Hobbs III (Michelle Jackson) of Kellogg, Kristin Davis of Ankeny and David (Stephanie) Hobbs of Newton; her three grandchildren, Shannon Davis, Jaden Hobbs and Cali Hobbs; great-grandchild, Lennon; her brother-in-law, Roy Hobbs of Montezuma; and her cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister in infancy; and six brothers-in-law.
