Newton Police Department

• Kimberly S. Woody, 32, of Newton, was arrested at 8:18 a.m. Jan. 11 in the 1200 block East 31st Street North on a Marion County warrant for failure to appear for fingerprinting. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Travis J. Rollefson, 24, of Forest City, was charged with driving while license denied or revoked at 4:45 p.m. Jan. 4 after police saw a gold Jeep Patriot driving westbound on First Avenue East at the intersection of East 17th Street and First Avenue accelerate quickly away from the turn lane and into the right lane, bypassing traffic and going into oncoming traffic. Police made contact with the driver, Rollefson, who admitted he didn’t have a license. He was arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Erik R. Kammerer, 29, of Grinnell, was charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia at 1:16 a.m. Jan. 11 when police made a traffic stop on a vehicle with a non-functioning license plate light. Police could smell an aroma of marijuana coming from the subject’s vehicle. Police found a green substance identified as marijuana. The substance was weighed 0.80 grams. Police also found a multi-colored pipe with black residue inside. Kammerer was arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail.
