The Newton Community School District will conduct a test of its Weather Communication System from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Weather alerts will be sent out to anyone who’s signed up to receive the alerts. Parents who do not receive a text message during the test are urged to contact the office of the school their child attends. The alerts are specific to each school and will be used to provide parents with updates on weather related school closures, late starts and early outs.
