Neighbors Helping Neighbors will be hosting a Clothing Give Away from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the Fellowship Hall of First Lutheran Church, 309 E. Third St. N. in Newton. Items will include donated clothing and coats of various sizes, children through adult.
If you wish to contribute to this group, checks can be made out to “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” C/O First Lutheran Church, 309 E. Third St. N., Newton, Iowa 50208. Donations can also be made through several of the other downtown churches including United Presbyterian Church, First Methodist Church, First Presbyterian Church, St. Stephens Episcopal Church and First Christian Church.
The group is still accepting blankets and quilts but does not need any additional clothing or laundry supplies at this time.
