Larry L. Yoakum, 70, of Crandon, Wis., formerly of Colfax, went home to the Lord Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rhinelander. Larry was born Feb. 18, 1947, in Des Moines, the son of Clarence and Elma (Eatwell) Yoakum. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Dibbles Dec. 12, 1975, in Colfax, where he lived until seven years ago when they moved to Crandon. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Larry worked at Maytag as a welder for 17.5 years. He loved Rex his horse, his 100 chain saws and most of all his family. He was a member of the Lakeland Baptist Church where he mowed the grass and plowed the snow.

Surviving Larry are his wife, Bonnie of 42 years; daughters, Brenda Rodgers, Kelly (Damien) Verwers, Amy (Richie) Crook; sons, Michael Yoakum, John (Amanda Snow) Yoakum; sister-in-law, Diane Yoakum; brother-in-law, Max Wallace; 21 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marilyn Wallace; brother, Donald Yoakum; son-in-law, LeRoy Rodgers; and granddaughter, Kelsey Yoakum.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Lakeland Baptist Church, Crandon, with Pastor Daniel Childers officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
