“Mike” Michael J. Craig, 62, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, at the Skiff Medical Center in Newton. Mike’s memorial service was at noon Monday, Nov. 6 at the Wallace Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Progress Industries to be used for client social activities may be left at the funeral home. Those left to honor Mike’s memory are his mother, Margy Craig of Newton; siblings, Bob (Peg Wolff) Craig of Minneapolis, Minn., Debby Petersen of Prairie City, Nancy (Mickey) Owens-Munley of Grinnell and Conny (Theron) Schutte of Marshalltown; his 10 nieces and nephews, Alicia (Cory) Blankenfeld, Jacob (Maggie) Owens, Katie Petersen, Sarah Owens (Matt), Marie (John) Feehan, Jared Owens, Anna Petersen (Paul), Matthew (Kayla) Petersen, Abby (Joe) Kozak and Maggi (Matt) Meyer; 11 great-nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leo J. Craig; and brother-in-law, Tim Owens.
