James A. Garland, 37, of Newton, was arrested at 12:59 a.m. Thursday at 510 S. Second Ave. W. on two Jasper County warrants for failure to appear. Original charges were trespass and violation of no contact order. Garland was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Daquan M. Allen, 21, of Newton, was arrested at 10:17 a.m. Nov. 2 at the Adult Probation Office on a Jasper County warrant for failure to appear. Original charges were violation of probation for possession of marijuana. Allen was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Raymond M. Dydell, 41, of Newton, was charged with driving while license denied or revoked at 12:45 a.m. Sept. 27 after police initiated a traffic stop on a maroon Chevrolet K1500 pickup in the 500 block of South Third Avenue West for driving with inoperable brake lights and showing white lights to the rear. Dydell’s license was revoked in September for OWI test refusal.

• Brittany M. Wetzel, 31, of Newton, and Joey R. Dejoode, 29, of Urbandale, were charged with violation of no contact order at 1:10 a.m. Oct. 25 after police were called to a residence on South 15th Avenue West in reference to a suspicious man. Police arrived and identified Ejoode and Wentzel who both had a no contact order between them. Wetzel told police she was talking to Dejoodle on her own free will. Wetzel and Dejoode were arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail.
