Ruth K. Huston

Ruth K. Huston, 94, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, with family at her side. She was born in Watertown, Wis., to Frederic E. and Leona (Egelhof) Kosanke.

Survivors include Michael, David, Mark and Mary. Preceding her in death was husband, Ralph E. Huston in 1980.

She was a registered dietitian and worked for Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton, as well as the State of Iowa.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 6 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3223 University Ave. in Des Moines. The family will greet friends from 9 a.m. until service time that morning. A private family burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery in Newton.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, The Nature Conservancy — Iowa Chapter and Planned Parenthood of the Heartland.
