The Iowa FFA Foundation and Iowa 4-H Foundation recently received matching donations of $90,000 each from Dakota Access Pipeline, LLC. The funds will be used to benefit local youth along the pipeline route, as well as students across the state through conference sponsorships and curriculum support. The foundations hosted a joint check presentation Oct. 19, at the FFA Enrichment Center. Dakota Access is giving each organization $5,000 per county the pipeline traverses, totaling $90,000 across 18 counties in Iowa. In an effort to support youth programs in counties along the entire four-state pipeline route, Dakota Access made similar donations in North Dakota, South Dakota and Illinois totaling more than $400,000.
