Josephine Lois Tilley Bennett, 83, of Wautoma, Wis., formally of Boone/Des Moines, passed away Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017. She was born Aug. 9, 1934, in rural Boone, to Joseph and Gracia Tilley.
The family will host a remembrance memorial luncheon from noon to 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20 at McHose Park in Boone.
Survivors include her children, Debra (Scott) Huyser of Newton, John (Margaret) Dake of Wautoma, Wis., Gracia (Richard) GeMiener of Mitchellville, Leonard (Linda) Dake of Fond du Lac, Wis.; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her brother, Russell Tilley of Virginia Beach, Va. She was preceded in death by the father of her children, John Gilbert Dake Sr.; her parents, Joseph and Gracia Tilley; siblings, Virginia Hanson, Dean Tilley, Roger Tilley, Ella Peterson and Charles Tilley.
