Newton Police Department
• Christopher M. Doran, 61, and Robbie L. Doran, 34, both of Newton, were charged with domestic abuse assault at 10:32 p.m. Oct. 6 after police were called to a residence on West Eighth Street for a domestic assault. Christopher was the reporting party who told police Robbie had assaulted him. Christopher said Robbie had attempted to choke him. Police determined both sides of the dispute were involved in the physical altercation which caused injuries to both men. Robbie told police he and Christopher were arguing when Christopher broke a picture frame that belonged to him. They were both arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail.
Jasper County Sheriff’s Office
• Kristina C. Greene, 50, of Prairie City, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance and unlawful possession of prescription drugs at 4:51 p.m. Oct. 8. Greene was found to be in possession of controlled substance at a home at 400 E. Fifth St. in Prairie City. She also had a container with nine pills she didn't have prescription for. An officer also found a pipe in her purse. Greene was arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail.
