Newton Police Department

• Jonathon J. Willemsen, 27, of Monroe, was charged with forgery at 12:10 p.m. Oct. 5 after Newton police were called to the West End Sinclair. Willemsen is accused of using two counterfeit $5 bills. Willemsen told police he had gotten the bills from a man he met the previous day. Willemsen was arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail.
