DES MOINES — Jurors have found a man guilty in the 2015 shooting death of another man in downtown Des Moines.

Polk County jurors on Monday found Dre’Sean Barber guilty of second-degree murder in the Nov. 29, 2015, shooting death of Edmanuel Perez. The shooting happened in the popular Court Avenue district, an area filled with bars and restaurants. The Polk County Attorney’s Office says jurors also found Barber guilty of an assault charge in the shooting of Andrew Hurley-Boyd.
