Blessing of the Animals event Sunday

St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church the community and their four legged furry friends, two legged feathered buddies and dearly loved stuffed animals to a Blessing of the Animals at 4 p.m. Sunday at 223 E. Fourth St. N. in Newton.

The service will be held outside. All pets need to be on a leash or in a carrier especially if their
middle name is “ornery.” Donations for the Animal Rescue League are encouraged. They need cat litter, wet cat food, peanut butter, laundry soap, dish soap, fabuloso, paper towels, OdoBan disinfectant and fabric softener these items are an immediate need. They can always use cat toys, raw hides for dogs and cat or dog treats.
