The 13th Annual “Off the Beaten Path” 6K trail race trail and 3K fun run/walk will be Saturday at Jacob Krumm Nature Preserve, just north off of Interstate 80 exit 179. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at Ahrens Access of the Preserve. The 6K trail race will kick off at 9 a.m. and the 3K will begin at 9:15 a.m.
Runners and walkers will experience the tallgrass prairie, woodlands, wetlands and maybe even some wildlife along the route. Grass surfaces will also cushion the strides of each participant. Immediately following the events, snacks and refreshments will be served, medallions will be distributed to winners and several great prizes will be awarded.
Proceeds from the trail race will benefit the Jasper Conservation Connection.
