Trisha Thompson

Trisha Marie (Hummel) Thompson, the daughter of Dan and Marilyn (Parrish) Wickliff, was born Aug. 22, 1963, in Newton. She was a lifelong resident of Newton.

Trisha worked at various cleaning jobs and worked at DMACC in Newton for the last six years. Trisha was united in marriage with Rick Thompson Nov. 17, 2012. Trisha loved spending time with, especially spoiling, her children and grandchildren. She loved shopping at Goodwill and garage saling. She loved shoes — wearing them and collecting anything show themed.

Trisha died at the age of 54 Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017, at Skiff Medical Center. She was proceeded in death by her mother, Marilyn.

Those left to honor Trisha’s memory include her husband, Rick of Newton; daughter, Kasie (Kenny) Lamb; son, Justine (Megan) Anderson; son, Eric Pender; grandchildren, Blake, Gabriel, Dalton, Bryson and Kadence, all of Newton.

A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10 at the Moose Lodge in Newton. Memorials can be sent to 2506 S. Third Ave. E. in Newton.
