RE/MAX in Newton adds realtor to its roster

Jo Jenkins, managing broker at RE/MAX Real Estate Concepts in downtown Newton, has announced the addition of Realtor Scott Neasham to their roster of professional real estate agents servicing the Newton and Jasper County area. “We are fortunate to have Scott join us with his farm, construction, and business background, as well as his Newton roots.”

“It’s good to be back home,” Neasham said.

Neasham was born and raised on a farm south of Newton and as a young man, had the honor of representing Newton as the National President of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) from a membership of more than 500,000. Neasham is only the third Iowan ever elected to the organization’s highest post.

After Neasham graduated Iowa State University and received his Ag Business degree, he started his first business in Iowa State’s Campustown. From there he bought, developed, managed and successfully sold three different businesses in Ames, Des Moines and Chicago. Since moving back to Newton, he’s bought and remodeled two homes and recently sold a flip-house on Newton’s southwest side.

“My whole life has centered around buying and selling business and homes. I’m excited to use my 30 years experience to help others in the Newton area buy or sell the home or business of their dreams,” Neasham said.

In his off-time, Neasham enjoys barbecuing, working around the yard and dreams of someday traveling to see the ancient wonders in Rome and the Great Pyramids of Egypt. To learn more about Scott, check out his new business Facebook page: newtonIAhomes
