Fall junior Pacesettor clinic set for Sunday

The Newton Pacesetters will be hosting a Jr. Pacesetter clinic for children pre-k through eighth grade on Sunday. Participants will perform at the Under Armour Fall Kickoff football game Aug. 18.

The clinic will take place in the Newton High School Upper Gym. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. Group A will be pre-k through second grade; Group B will be third grade through fifth grade; and Group C: sixth grade through eighth grade.

Cost will be $25 per child and includes registration fee, T-shirt and snack. Participants should wear comfortable clothes and dance shoes/tennis shoes.

The performance will be Aug. 18 at HA Lynn Stadium in Newton. Dancers will meet at 6:15 p.m. to review the dances before the Pacesetters have to be introduced. The approximate performance time is at 7:15 p.m. Parents should stay by their junior pacesetter until the team is done being announced. Then the parents may take a seat where they please.

For the performance, participants should wear comfortable black pants or shorts, clinic T-shirt that will be handed out at 6:15 and tennis shoes.
