The Des Moines Astronomical Society will lead an after-hours stargazing program beginning at 8 p.m. Monday in the Newton Public Library meeting room, then move to the library lawn after dark. Attendees will learn how to spot planets and constellations while viewing the night sky with a telescope.
This presentation will also discuss the 2017 solar eclipse. Children are welcome to attend with an adult.
