Newton Police Department

• Logan J. Owens, 18, and Devin O. Harsh, 18, both of Newton, were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at 7:50 p.m. June 28 after police were called to Burger King for a follow up. Police arrived and smelled the burnt odor of marijuana at the front door of the store. Two men were standing by the garbage area and were identified as Owens and Harsh. Police found a glass pipe near Owens that had marijuana residue. Police also found a glass pipe used to smoke methamphetamine and a small plastic bag with white crystal residue inside the bag that belonged to Harsh. Owens and Harsh were released and issued citations to appear in court.
