Iowa Speedway lands sweet deal with M&M’s

NCWTS M&M’s 200 is June 23

Iowa Speedway announced Wednesday the title sponsor for the June 23 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race will be Mars Chocolate North America, makers of the iconic M&M’s Brand.

While M&M’s has had a presence in NASCAR for years, this marks the first time the brand has sponsored a race at The Fastest Short Track on the Planet.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series M&M’s 200 presented by Casey’s General Store will run at 7:30 p.m. on June 23 on FS1.

The M&M’s 200 will be the first race of Wide Opening Weekend which pairs the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the NASCAR Xfinity Series for the second consecutive year.

“We’re excited to welcome our new partner, Mars Chocolate, to Iowa Speedway, and are proud to promote M&M’s with one of our longstanding partners, Casey’s General Store,” Iowa Speedway President Jimmy Small said.

“This partnership is a wonderful example of the unrivaled promotional power and versatility of NASCAR and Iowa Speedway.”

Having been involved in the sport for almost three decades as a team sponsor, M&M’s is already a seasoned partner throughout NASCAR.

The brand has been a sponsor of Joe Gibbs Racing and Kyle Busch, a two-time Iowa Speedway race winner, since 2008.

In 2000, Mars stepped up its sponsorship to become the “Official Chocolate of NASCAR” and has since built a significant presence at the track.

“We are happy to partner with Casey’s General Store, NASCAR, and Iowa Speedway,” William Clements, VP Sponsorships, Mars Chocolate North America said,

“M&M’s makes race day more fun, so fans should expect a sweet at-track experience during Iowa Speedway’s wide open weekend.”
