• Gregory John Bolagna, 33, of Newton, was arrested at 8:53 a.m. May 5 at 810 E. 12th St. N. on a San Diego, Calif., warrant for probation violation. Bolagna was arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Stephanie L. Sparks, 35, of Newton, was charged with possession of controlled substance first offense at 8:05 p.m. May 8 after police were called to Hy-Vee in reference to a person trespassing. Police saw a vehicle with the person accused of trespassing. Sparks had a warrant for her arrest and was taken to the Jasper County Jail. The Jasper County Jail located nine Oxycodone hydrocholoride pills in a small zipper compartment in her wallet. Sparks said they didn’t belong to her but the clutch did belong to her.

• Lisa E. Logan, 42, of Williamson, was charged with possession of paraphernalia, driving while barred, operating while under the influence and possession of controlled substance at 2:29 a.m. May 8 after a deputy stopped her for driving violations. Logan didn’t have a valid license and had seven withdrawals on her file. Logan was arrested. When the deputy searched her vehicle, they found a small plastic bag with white residue and another white crystal substance. The substance tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed .5 grams. Also inside the bag was a methamphetamine pipe. Logan told the deputy that it was hers and she said she purchased it for $30 in Colfax. Logan was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
