The Colfax Parks and Recreation Auxiliary Board will be hosting its second kids fishing derby for kids 0-18 June 3 at Quarry Springs Park, 1208 N. Walnut in Colfax.
There will be plenty of prizes and free will donation lunch afterwards. Iowa’s Free Fishing weekend should provide family fun for everyone.
Contestants may fish from shore or fish from a boat. Fish must be caught between 9 and 11 a.m.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. the day of the event.
