PLEASANTVILLE — Sophomore Delaney Underwood shot a 46 to win medalist honors, and the Colfax-Mingo girls’ golf team defeated Pleasantville at Pleasantville Country Club on Thursday.
The Tigerhawks shot a 211 and downed the Trojans by 27 shots. Pleasantville’s Emma Jahner was the runner-up medalist.
Sophomore Chelsea Russell was the next best scorer for the Tigerhawks. She carded a 52. Senior Amy Russell had a 55 and freshman Sydni Hostetter shot a 55 to complete the counting scores.
The two non-counting scores came from freshman Brielle Reed and sophomore Camilla Schlosser, who turned in a 62 and 65, respectively.
Colfax-Mingo plays at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Newton Cardinal Invitational. Prairie City-Monroe also will be in town for the Cardinals’ annual tournament.
